The 8640B AM / FM Signal Generator is designed for testing of radio receiver systems. It is a phase-locked cavity design that features low SSB phase noise. An internal frequency counter provides phase-lock synchronization or can be used to monitor external signals up to 550 MHz. The 8640B supports wide bandwidth simultaneous AM / FM or FM / Pulse modulation. The 8640B operates from 500 kHz to 1024 MHz at levels from -145 to +19 dBm.
